In my kitchen there is a window to another world. Beyond the plant that sits on the window sill and in the yellow light that shines dimly and fades into the dark is winter. Snow falls and covers all in pristine white and although it is dark there is a strange glow from the snow that has fallen that carries up towards the sky. Its cold and the horizon is nowhere in sight. It feels as though there is nothing left but there in the darkness and all around you lies hope reflected by tiny snow flakes that fall gently, silently and coldly to the ground. If you stand still for long enough it will crush you.
